Our Story
Dia Duit! At Ériu Designs, we our proud of our Irish heritage and wanted to share that passion with others, by creating products inspired by Ireland's rich history and culture.
Everything is handcrafted in our small studio in County Armagh, Ireland. Originally making gifts for family and friends, founder Emma, decided to to make Ériu Designs into a small business and began selling at local craft fairs.
Starting from just one clay cottage, the range has now expanded to include a range of handmade products, each piece telling its own story.
Why is it called Ériu Designs?
Èriu Designs is named after Èriu, the ancient Goddess in Irish mythology from which Ireland was named (Èriu, Èire, Erin). She was part of the Tuatha De Danann, a supernatural race who are associated with the Sidhe- the fairies in Irish folklore.

Emma
Fáilte, is mise Emma! I love creating something unique, whether its a heartfelt gift, home decor or something purely practical. I experiment with different materials and techniques to create a variety of art and crafts. In a world of mass production, I feel there's a growing value in handmade creations. I have EDS and fibromyalgia which affects my mobility and health. Crafting brings me joy and a sense of accomplishment, allowing me to work at my own pace and rest when needed.
My work is greatly influenced by Irish history and our ancestors- from books, family stories and time spent travelling around Ireland, as a child with my family. I saw many landscapes, from Howth to Falcarragh; the forests, beaches, mountains and rolling green hills of the Irish countryside. I make cottages that my grandparents and generations before them would have lived in. They offer an authentic glimpse into the heart of Irish culture. The cottages tell a story of resilience, community and connection to the land.
I believe art is a powerful storyteller, capable of bridging cultures and connecting people through shared experiences. My commission times vary depending on my workload so please get in touch well in advance. I truely appreciate every single sale.
Go raibh míle maith agaibh!
